Athletic Therapist Intern - Saskatchewan Roughriders Football Club Inc. (Regina, SK)

TERM: May-November

Reporting to the Head Athletic Therapist, the Athletic Therapist Intern will be responsible in helping the Athletic Therapists throughout the term. The intern will assist in player health and rehabilitation both on and off the field. This position will be a great learning experience for those looking to make a career in professional sports.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Assist in daily treatments of the players.
  • Assist in daily maintenance of the clinic including cleaning, organizing, stocking, and inventory.
  • Support the Athletic Therapist team with implementation of treatment and rehabilitation programs.
  • Assist in injury reporting and documentation.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Attributes:

  • Completion of 2 or more years in sports medicine, athletic therapy, kinesiology, or related field.
  • Ability to meet multiple demands in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion handling sensitive matters involving players.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using computer software including spreadsheets, databases, internet based systems, email, etc.
  • Availability to work irregular hours and game days.

Coors Light Party in the Park DJ - Saskatchewan Roughriders Football Club Inc. (Regina, SK)

Are you a Saskatchewan-based DJ looking to grow your brand and align with one of Canada’s foremost sports franchises?

Be front and center at Canada’s premier outdoor stadium… during CFL’s most dynamic and exciting game day… amidst the screaming Sea of Green that is Rider Nation!

The Saskatchewan Roughriders are looking for energetic, passionate and outgoing DJs to help make the new Coors Light Party in the Park the place to be before Rider home games.

Responsibilities:

  • Create a fun, engaging, and interactive musical environment for three hours pre-game and one hour post-game in the Coors Light party area.
  • Play the right music to get Rider Nation PUMPED and interact with the crowd via announcements, contests, and introducing guest performers.
  • May appear alongside another DJ/Game Day Host to create a vibrant experience for Rider fans of all ages.

Requirements:

  • Attend all Rider home games (pre-season and playoffs).
    • This includes an hour before and after performances for set-up and clean-up.
  • Proven DJ experience with your own professional equipment.
  • Proficient in operating sound boards, turntables, and other technical software of choice.

This is a great opportunity for new or experienced DJs to gain exposure and recognition as a key part of the Rider Game Day experience!

In-Stadium Hosts - Saskatchewan Roughrider Football Club Inc. (Regina, SK)

Do you proudly wear and share your Rider Pride?

We want you to show off that pride front and center in Canada's premiere outdoor stadium! Lead the excitement on Game Day amidst the screaming Sea of Green that is Rider Nation.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders are looking for energetic, passionate and mobile ambassadors to be in-stadium “on camera” hosts for the upcoming season.

Responsibilities:

  • Host activities and rep the Rider brand in a multitude of locations including pre-game Coors Light Party in the Park and several sections, concourses and “neighbourhoods” within the stadium.
  • Host and assist with contests, give-aways, presentations, and conversations with fans of all ages popping up throughout the stadium as part of the new Game Day Entertainment package.
  • Appear solo or alongside another Game Day host(s) as you mix and mingle with special guests, celebrities, and Rider fans.
  • Attend Rider home games (preseason and playoffs included) and be prepared to provide a few hours of prep time 2 days before each game and 5-6 hours to perform Game Day duties.
    • Role may involve some hours outside of Game Days.

Requirements:

  • Ability to read from a script, however, energetic ad-lib skills will come in handy.
  • Ability to work from time cues.
  • “On-air” or other experience related to radio/TV/video/theatre performance or production may be helpful, but not required.
  • Ability to move quickly from different locations around the stadium in a short time span.

HINT: Be prepared to look your best in a Rider jersey while hugging or high-fiving Gainer

The Saskatchewan Roughriders invite you to join the Team!  The Rider Store in Grasslands is now scouting for the next enthusiastic and energetic team players. We are currently seeking part time hourly team members with a variety of availability including working game days.

This position will report to the Retail Store Manager, Grasslands and will provide outstanding customer service   through the sales of retail merchandise at their assigned outlet. This position will play a key front-line role in customer sales and service in order to increase sales to meet annual sales targets.

Reporting to the Head Athletic Therapist, the Student Athletic Therapist will be responsible in assisting in maintenance and execution of strategies to successfully run the training camp in Saskatoon. The student will provide assistance in maintaining the health and wellness of the players. This position will be a great learning experience for those looking to make a career in professional sports.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Assist Athletic Trainer in providing basic first aid to players including taping and treatments.
  • Ensure players stay hydrated throughout their training.
  • Assist in daily maintenance of the clinic including cleaning, organizing, stocking, and inventory.
  • Communicate with Athletic Therapist on a daily basis with respect to what players are injured and require medical attention.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Attributes:

  • Pursuing and education in sports medicine, athletic therapy, kinesiology, or related field.
  • Ability to meet multiple demands in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner.
